Wormley & Savage

Once a pair of industrial auto garages, Wormley & Savage are being reimagined into dynamic commercial spaces that honor Detroit’s past while shaping its future.

Wormley & Savage

Address: 12105 & 12117 Livernois
Total Area: 10,000ft2
Year Built: 1925
Zoning: B4

On Livernois just north of Elmhurst sit two vacant garage buildings that originally served as car dealerships and later on became auto-repair, including a historic 1930s auto garage called “Wormley & Savage”. These properties will be redeveloped into an exciting new commercial and residential space with a total area of 10,000ft2.

Plan A

Plan A divides the garages each into individual retail stores and builds new housing on top of the garages with multiple apartments. This plan is ideal for creating a truly mixed-use development that will attract both residents and businesses to the area.

Before After

From Car-focused to Human-focused: Adjacent auto garages are split and converted into commercial storefronts. Additional housing is added on top of the new retail space.

7.Liv Project
Detroit, MI

This project is similar to the eye-catching revitalization effort at 7
Mile and Livernois, an example of how urban redevelopment can
introduce vitality and excitement into a neglected section of the city. Full.Live is committed to invigorating this part of Detroit with a similar blend of retail and housing.

Local Business

The redevelopment of these two auto garage buildings will introduce retail and other amenities that are sorely lacking.

Additional Housing

Upper-level apartments will feature high-end finishes and draw prospective new tenants to the neighborhood.

Neighborhood Focus

Retail space will attract customers from the DPD 10th Precinct, Russell Woods, Oakman Blvd Community.

Plan B

Plan B is the transformation of the former auto garages into a collection of individual commercial retail spaces. This renovation still aims to breathe new life into the existing structure, preserving its unique character while repurposing it for contemporary retail needs.

Before After

Open for Business: The conversion project introduces multiple new storefronts with retail amenities that service the neighborhood.
